I was wanting to make a ratrod, but this is speaking to me. Maybe it is speaking to me because it is very close, very cheap, and very different than what is found around here. Would Oppositelock kill me if I bought this and did it up like a domestic hotrod complete with a domestic engine?

I thoroughly encourage this endeavor. Although I would be MASSIVELY impressed if you put a BMW M60 V8 in there to mess with the Merc people 3:D

If you’re going to do it, I would try to keep the natural patina. Rat rods start looking cheesy when they have fake, painted on rust and the like.

The only time I support faked patina is when it is on places that had to have metal welded on.
